CONCRETE
Self Consolidating Concrete (SCC) is a relatively new technology in North America and has proven to be a product of the future. Self-leveling concrete, as some people call it, has a very high flow level. It flows so much that a traditional slump test does not apply. Instead the diameter of the circle it makes when the slump cone is pulled is the standard measurement. There are several different tests that measure it's ability to turn corners, run through tight rebar cages, and flow a certain distance in a certain amount of time.
Duke City has several SCC mixes ranging from 5,000 psi up to 12,000 psi. All of these mixes have been reliable and consist with a 28' flow. View the video below to see how the high strength SCC can fill some very tight spaces with no effort from the crew placing it.

STRUCTURAL CONCRETE
Structural concrete is by far the most popular use for concrete. The term covers many uses including footings, walls, columns, interior floors, exterior parking lots and sidewalks and much more.
We offer hundreds of mixes that cover a wide variety of specifications including water/cement ratio, compressive strength, and flexual requirements. If we don't have a mix that meets a certain specification we will do whatever it takes to create one (within the capabilities of our region and available raw materials.)
Adding color to your concrete can make a tremendous difference and make something normally bland into an architectural focal point. With today's technology there are almost endless possibilities when it comes to color. Click on the links below to see some of the more common colors we offer. If you don't see what you are looking for, give us a call and we can match almost anything.
COLORED CONCRETE
Pervious concrete pavement is a relatively new technology that significantly contributes to sustainability. By providing a pass-through for storm water, pervious concrete reduces or eliminates the need for costly and land-consuming drainage ponds. The voids in the concrete pavement allow the water to drain back into the ground very quickly,
Although the maintenance of this product can be a hefty task in the southwest where it rains very little and dust is prevalent, pervious concrete is a great solution for a smaller lot where a drainage pond couldn't fit. When placed properly, it provides the same longevity as traditional pavements in lower traffic areas such as parking lots, side walks, and bike paths.
PERVIOUS CONCRETE
With today's technology we have the ability to control the set characteristics of concrete that was unthinkable in the past. Rapid Set Concrete has a highly accelerated set time that can be up to full strength in as little as four hours instead of the standard 28 day process.

Polished concrete is nothing new, but the popularity of exposing the aggregate in the concrete is quickly gaining steam. Duke City has supplied concrete to several jobs with a specific desired look. By changing the type and color of aggregate as well as changing the color of the paste by adding integral color, the options are only limited by imagination.
Albuquerque Public Schools has used this form of flooring extensively and is saving money every year by the reduced maintenance cost. This use of structural concrete is not only attractive but economical as well.
